So I turn, rummage in the drawer

for paper

A pen?

No, a pencil

almost blunt 

Capitals or lowercase?

I opt for the latter

my letters, small and frightened

Frightened?

uncertain…

There it is

Fold it?

Crumple it?

I don’t want it to drop

Imagine!

Caution dropping like a stone

What would it mean?

So, a gentle fold

and caution sits on my hand

a butterfly resting

til I feel the breeze

and blow
